The next wonderful word in focus is perfervid.

Perfervid

This adjective means:

  1. very fervent;
  2. extremely ardent;
  3. impassioned.

Word Origin

This is another word with its origins in Latin. New Latin to be exact. Although formed perfectly properly, perfervidus does not occur in earlier Latin. The word comes from the root adjective fervidus, meaning “scalding hot, burning”. Perfervid entered English in the first half of the 19th century.

How to use perfervid

She sees things through the haze of a rather perfervid imagination.
